Why the why
With a business idea, we think of why something might be needed. When building with our hands, those things usually have a purpose. Even if it’s just to look at, or simply possess. We know why we need a sharp knife. But you REALLY know when you try to cut with a blunt knife. You learn even more if trying to cut with a blunt knife gives you an injury.
Until you know WHY something is needed - these are just abstract concepts, or concrete steps to follow. Follow the steps and you’re less likely to fuck up. In boxing, keep your hands up. Well, it’s great advice. When you get hit enough, you learn. Some people never do though.
When following tutorials, you just do things. For each thing you do, there is a reason why that thing even exists in the first place. IF you don’t know this, you could ask yourself, “what am I actually learning here?”. Initially you won’t know. Maybe you’re just trying to get practice writing things. Making mistakes and trying to solve them. All are important.
You and I can use the same resource and get completely different things from it. Makes me think - it’s not about the resource. It isn’t. It’s about what’s going on in the mind of the user. Stress, or no stress… you’re going to get closer to answers for questions you have.
